Jamali claims he has majority

ISLAMABAD Nov 16: The PML-Q candidate for the prime minister, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, has claimed a comfortable majority, which he said would be proved in the house.

As regards nominations for the speaker and deputy speaker’s posts, he told newsmen in the NA lobby on Saturday, his party was in talks with various parties.

Replying to a question whether he did not think the creation of forward blocs in various parties was immoral, Jamali said, “there was nothing immoral about the MNAs listening to their conscience. Such practice was in vogue even in British and American parliaments.”

When asked how would he feel if his party members acted in the same way, he said: “We will not impede if they felt differently.” To a query about the possibility of PML-Q forming a coalition with the MMA, he said that they were negotiating with a number of parties, including the MMA.
