Dashing Habib

KARACHI, Nov 16: A dashing 114 by opener Habib ur Rehman, helped Saddar Town CC inflict an 88-run defeat over EMBA Sports in the Ford & Lord Trophy Ramazan cricket tournament played Saturday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Saddar Town CC hit up 210 for the loss of five wickets in their 20 allotted overs. Apart from Habib’s fine knock of 114 which came off only 58 deliveries with eight fours and two sixes being his principal strokes, Mohammad Akbar weighed in with 47 runs. Hanif Lakhani bagged two for 22 for the fielding side.

EMBA Sports were bundled out for 122 in 18.3 overs, with Muneeb ur Rehman scoring 28 and Mansoor Baig 22.

The wickets were shared by Siraj Khan three for 18 and Mohammad Nasir three for 23.
