TOBA TEK SINGH, Nov 16: A 70-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her son on Saturday over some domestic issue in Chak 308-GB.

Muhammad Fazil along with his mother Zainab Bibi and wife Khurshidan Bibi was going to his farmland by donkey cart. During the way, they exchanged harsh words over some domestic issue. Losing his temper, Fazil kicked his mother who fell down from the donkey cart and received serious injuries. The couple brought injured Zainab Bibi to home where she died. To hide their act and give it a colour of suicide, they hanged her with a rope to the roof of a room and went to their farmland. After a few hours, they came back to their house and started crying that Zainab Bibi had committed suicide.

Chuttiana police have taken into custody the suspected couple for interrogation.
