GILGIT, Nov 16: Three people were killed when their vehicle plunged into River Indus while negotiating a sharp bend in Pattan on the Karakoram Highway, sources said.
The vehicle (BLN-88), carrying luggage of the Northern Areas home secretary, was on its way to Peshawar when the driver lost control over it.
The driver, Iqbal, and his relative, Nisar, residents of Astore, drowned in the river. Safdar, resident of Hunza was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he died.—Correspondent
