KARACHI, Nov 16: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, on Saturday, held a prize-distribution ceremony for successful participants of a science exhibition organized by its science forum.
Adviser to the governor of Sindh, Prof Anita Ghulam Ali, was the chief guest, who gave away shields and certificates to the students belonging to colleges and higher secondary schools.
The Science Forum Trophy went to the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School for securing maximum points.
Prof Anita stressed upon the students that participation in co-curricular activities help in exploiting the leadership capabilities of students, which were God-gifted.
She appreciated the Board for holding co-curricular activities, including science exhibition, on such a large scale.
The chairman of the Board, Prof Sharif Memon, said steps taken by the Board in regard to attendance and submission of enrolment forms would surely cast good impact on the performance of the colleges and the educational system, as well.
The secretary of the Board, Abdul Zaheer Khan Paras, also spoke. Chairmen of educational boards of Hyderabad, Larkana, Karachi and secretary of Sukkur board and principal of DHA College for Women also gave away prizes to the students.
