KARACHI, Nov 15: On the orders of the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, the government of Sindh has given powers of special judicial magistrate to the deputy district officers (revenue) in Sindh.
Under these powers, the DDOs can conduct summary trials of offenders under the Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding Act of 1977, Ehteram-i-Ramazan Ordinance 1981 and Pure Food Ordinance 1960 in Ramazan this year.—APP
