Solid start by Thai ace

DONGGUAN (China), Nov 14: Thai ace Thongchai Jaidee made a solid start to the TCL Classic here firing a four-under par 68 to lie in second just a shot behind first round leader Korean Ted Oh.

Leading first round scores:

68 Chung Joon (South Korea), Eddie Lee (New Zealand), Zaw Moe (Burma), Thongchai Jaidee (Thailand), Charlie Wi (South Korea), Lee Westwood (Britain), Gerald Rosales (Philippines)

69 Chris Williams (Britain), Prayad arksaeng (Thailand), Jim Johnson (U.S.), Danny Zarate (Philippines), Wang Ter-chang (Taiwan), Rick Gibson (Canada)

70 John Daly (U.S.), Zhang Lian-wei (China), Colin Montgomerie (Britain), Dean Alaban (Australia), Kyi Hla Han (Burma), Jyoti Randhawa (India), Craig Kamps (South Africa), Ted Purdy (U.S.), Rafael Ponce (Ecuador), Hendrik Buhrmann (South Africa).APP/Reuters
