Magical spell by Wajih

KARACHI, Nov 14: A splendid spell of spin bowling by Wajiuddin, helped Mohammad Hussain CC register a five-wicket triumph over Danish Sports in the Seventh Danish Trophy Ramazan cricket tournament played Thursday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Danish Sports could not cope up with the off-spinners of Wajihuddin and were bowled out for 123. Munir Shafi (35) and Amir Azeem (21) handled Wajiuddin with confidence, who finished with the figures of five for seven runs. Ali Mohammad Madni weighed in with two for 34.

Mohammad Hussain CC reached the target losing five batsmen. Agha Sabir and Azhar Gul with 29 apiece and Amir Iqbal 28 n.o. batted well for the winners, whilst Tariq Gul picked up two for 21 for the losers.

Saturday fixtures: KGA Gymkhana v Danish Sports 1-30 p.m.
