Nadra dismisses 54 representatives

SUKKUR, Nov 14: Some 54 absconding representatives of the Ghotki district’s office of the National Databse Registration Authority (Nadra) have been sacked.

The decision to sack the workers was taken by the director of the Nadra’s Sukkur office.

All of them have been charged with not depositing the form fees, for issuance of computerised national identity cards, collected by them to the national exchequer

The terminated Nadra representatives are Ghulam Qadir of the Langho union council, Kabir Ahmed of the Wasti Jewan UC, Mohammad Anwer of the Rawanti UC, Bahadur Ali and Hasan Ali of the Khambra UC, Rashid Ahmed, Khaliq Dad and Haji Allah Rakhio of the Jhangal Malik UC, Mohammad Musa of the Kamo Shaheed UC, Farman Ali and Farooq Ahmed of the Saindino Malik UC, Abdul Sattar of the Daharki UC, Jam Jeand of the Saindino UC, Riaz Ahmed, Sanwal and Nawab Ali of the Bertua UC, Khawand Bux and Daim Din of the Dad Leghari UC, Sadaqat Hussain of the Yaro Lund UC, Munawwar Ali of the Keenjhar UC, Abdul Maleed of the Mirpur Mathelo-1 UC, Ghulam Qadir and Yasir Mehmood of the Mirpur Mathelo-2 UC, Ubaidullah of the Dhangro UC, Zulfiqar Ali and Fida Hussain of the Garhi Chakar UC, Omperkash of the Jarwar UC, Jamaluddin of the Sono Patafi UC, Luqman Ali of the Wahi Ghoto UC, Rana Irshad Ali of the Ghotki-1 UC, Shahmir of the Ghotki-2 UC, Zahoor Ahmed of the Aadalpur UC, Mumtaz Ali of the Hussain Beli UC, Abdul Wahid, Sobho and Mohammad Ali of the Qadirpur UC, Mohammad Ura, Ghulam Yaseen and Chirag of the Berii UC, Aziz Ahmed, Hassamuddin and Mohammad Ishaq of the Umar/Deho UC, Zakir Ali of the Bago Deho UC, Rasool and Mohammad Rafiq of the Ruk UC, Shahnawaz and Mubarik Ali of the Khuhara UC, Abdul Aziz of the Khanpur UC, Ghulam Haider and Zulfiqar Ali of the Mehar UC, Ata-ur-Rehman of the Mithri UC, and Ghulam Mahar of the Ghotki UC.

The people have been advised not to deposit fees and CNIC forms with the terminated representatives, failing which NADRA would not be responsible if anyone deposited his fees or form with them.

KIDNAPPED: A villager, Rajab Burro, was kidnapped from Pano Aqil on Wednesday night.

The motive behind the kidnapping could not be ascertained.

Rajab was kidnapped while he was returning after offering the Taravih prayers.

Witnesses said that the DPO, Din Mohammad Baloch, had reached the scene of the crime and had cordoned off the Katcha area and has also arrested some suspects.

MAN INJURED: A man, Shafi Mohammad, was seriously injured when armed men opened fire on him in the Shahi Bazaar, Ghotki, the other day.

The reason as to why he was killed could not be ascertained.

All the shops and bazaars were shut down due to panic spreading in the area.

ONE HELD: The Ghotki police arrested an alleged kidnapper, Yaqoob Shaikh, from the Shahi Bazaar the other day.

When Yaqoob tried to kidnap a man, Iftikhar Hussain Malik, in the Shahi Bazaar, the latter started shouting for help. Police who were patrolling the area in a mobile came to his help.

They arrested Yaqoob along with a TT pistol.
