KARACHI, Nov 14: The city government has tightened its price control and monitoring system and decided that its teams would carry out raids on bachat bazaars to check prices and violators would be punished.

Staff of the city government raided a bachat bazaar in Gulshan-i-Iqbal and challaned a number of shopkeepers for overcharging. At the bachat bazaar a complaint centre has been set up to facilitate customers.

Raids were also conducted in many other markets of Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

Shopkeepers have been advised to display price list. — APP
