KARACHI: 20 Indian fishermen produced in court

KARACHI, Nov 14: As many as 20 Indian fishermen were produced before a court by the Docks police for jail custody on Thursday morning after they were detained by the Maritime Security Agency (MSA) on the previous day.

The fishermen were detained along with their four vessels while fishing in Pakistani territorial waters. The MSA had handed them over the Docks police for an appropriate action.

According to the MSA the vessels were found busy fishing some 66 nautical miles from the Karachi port.

The vessels were identified as Tulsi, Shiv Charan, Radhay Sham and Rahul and their captains are Lallu Daya son of Payal, Hari son of Ratna, Sooj son of Majju and Mahesh son of Harji.

The security agency, in an earlier operation, had detained 41 crew of five Indian vessels found fishing in Pakistani waters illegally. Their vessels were also detained.
