KARACHI, Nov 14: The admission committee at the University of Karachi will release the merit lists pertaining to admissions to Master’s classes at the faculties of Science, Arts and Islamic Studies on Friday.
A senior admission official said on Thursday night that final touches were being given to the lists which would finally be put on display at the main gate of the university at 3pm on Friday. The lists would also be available on the varsity’s website, www.ku.edu.pk., after 10.30am.
The admission committee received a total of 3250 applications, against 2390 seats at different departments, through 11 designated bank branches. About 3050 applications were received last year, said a source.
Admission to Master’s classes in the departments of Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Health and Physical Education, Environmental Studies, International Relations, Public Administration, Special Education, Visual Studies and Women Studies are being made separately by the respective departments.
BL results: The University of Karachi on Thursday announced the results of BL (second year) annual examination-2002, with a pass percentage of 41.72.
According to KU statistics, 942 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 393 were declared to have passed. Results of 13 candidates were withheld for want of enrolment or on account of unfair means.

The last date for submission of forms is December 14 and the list of eligible candidates will be displayed at the department of Statistics on December 20. The fee will be received between December 21 and 28 during office hours.
The classes will commence from January 1, 2003, and the timings will be from 3 to 5.30pm in the afternoon.
