KARACHI, Nov 14: Work continues under the plan to improve the condition of schools in the city and, for this purpose, funds have been released to school management committees.

DCO Karachi Shafiqur Rehman Paracha is visiting various schools to review the performance of their management committees. On Thursday he visited Islamia Mohammedan School, Madani Road, Lyari. EDO Education Rais Alvi and other city government officials were also present on the occasion.

During his visit, the DCO inspected the record of the proceedings of the meetings of the management committees and reviewed the improvement measures taken for the school with the utilization of the funds released.

The school principal informed that the DCO Jan Mohammed, who is the father of a student at the school and is on the management committee, had evinced keen interest and the highest spirit of service. Jan Mohammed is a KPT employee.

In connection with the school improvement work, Jan Mohammed obtained one-month leave from the KPT and dedicated himself to the task in an exemplary manner under the supervision of the school principal.

The DCO highly appreciated the paint of the school building, repair of the furniture and the walls, installation of grills and blackboards.
