Narrow win for Omar CC

KARACHI, Nov 13: Omar CC registered a narrow 10-run victory over Rafiq Shirizi Memorial CC in the in the A.O. Super Cup on Wednesday at the Asghar Ali Shah cricket stadium.

Batting first, Omar CC scored 146 for nine in their 20 allotted overs with Iqbal Shah (51), skipper Nadeem Omar (24) among the runs. Kamil Khan two for 25, Jawad Ali two for 28 and Tahir Khan two for 30 bagged the wickets.

Chasing 147 runs for victory, Rafiq Shirazi Memorial fell short of the victory target by only nine runs after being bowled out for 138 runs.

This narrow victory was made possible by off-spinner Iqbal Shaikh, who finished off with marvellous figures of five for eight runs. right-arm leg-spinner Rashid lent a helping hand with three for 32.

Safdar top scored for the losers with 45 runs and Mujtabba Amin chipped in with 25.
