KARACHI, Nov 13: Two ships carrying coal and containers arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, Iran Jamal carrying iron ore was allotted berth at Steel Jetty, says a PQA press release on Wednesday.

The berth occupancy was maintained above 78 per cent. Seven ships, Maria, Ince Trans, Adrekni, Contship Innovator, Karimun, Keepan and Iran Jamal were busy in loading/discharging wheat, containers, edible oil, diesel oil and iron ore respectively.

A cargo volume of 55,809 tons comprising 42,934 tons of import and 12,875 tons of exports cargo, inclusive of cargo carried in 533 containers (Teus), was handled.

Three ships, Titan Murcury, Qem Star and MSC Corinna were expected to take berth at Fotco Oil Terminal, Engro Terminal and Qasim International Container Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
