KARACHI, Nov 11: Seven ships including Mutiara carrying 14,500 tons of palm oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday.

According to KPT sources five ships, Iwato, Wan Hai-305, Iron-D, to unload and load containers, Tong Hai to offload fertilizer and Fighter to load molasses were berthed after the sailing of six.

The ships, which departed included Bunga Bidara, Global Prosperity, Wan Hai-305, Fauna-F, Virgina, and Iran Matin, while Pearlmar, Eijin, Kota Wajar, Iwato, Fighter, Iron-D and Obi Wan are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.114m tons comprising 11,645 tons of export cargo and 0.102m tons of import tonnage, notably liquid one was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Mutiara, with palm oil, MOL Sincerity, APL Jeddah, Sima Bahar, Mar Challenger and Jamila, with containers and Tiger to load general cargo.

Port Qasim


KARACHI, Nov 11: Ncc Hijaz carrying chemicals was allotted berth at Engro Vopak Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying furnace oil and containers also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Maria, Incetrans, Adrekni, Fuji Hoshi, Ncc Hijaz and Yong Tai were busy in loading/discharging wheat and edible oil, chemicals and coal respectively.

Cargo handling activity remained modest at the port where a cargo volume of 13,928 tons comprising 9,638 tons of import cargo and 4,290 tons of export cargo was handled.

Two ships, Treasa and Ncc Hijaz sailed out, while Fuji Hoshi was expected to leave the port on Monday. Four ships, Contship, Innovator, Karimun, Keefan and Imperial were due to take berths.
