Two rockets land at military base

PESHAWAR, Nov 10: Unknown assailants fired two rockets at a paramilitary base on the Afghan border that instead landed in a residential area in Miranshah, administrative officials and residents said on Sunday.

The rockets fired on Saturday night were aimed at the fort of Tochi Scouts, but they damaged two houses, 500 metres away.

The attack destroyed the roof of one house and triggered a fire at another. No one was injured.

Residents said they believed several US officials were staying at the base.—AFP
