Amin Fahim for national unity

ISLAMABAD, Nov 10: People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) president Makhdoom Amin Fahim has called for national unity and reconciliation to steer the country out of political crisis.

The PPP president was talking to reporters here on Sunday at an Iftar dinner hosted by the MNA-elect from Islamabad, Syed Nayyer Bokhari.

To a question, he said the bitterness of the past should be set aside to move forward.

Talking about a possible cooperation between the PML-Q and MMA regarding formation of future government, he said the PPP would comment on the issue when the time comes.

He said if the politicians failed to end the deadlock in the formation of the future setup, they would definitely be blamed.

He confirmed that some of PPP elected members were threatened to switch over their political loyalties.

About supporting a joint candidate of ARD-MMA for the office of prime minister, he said it was very important issue and “we do not want to take a decision in a haste”. — PPI
