KARACHI: KU hostel renamed

KARACHI, Nov 10: Karachi University vice-chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Saied Saify has changed the name of the university’s girls hostel from Aiwan-i-Liaquat to Aiwan-i-Raana Liaquat Girls Hostel.

Dr Saify took the decision in response to a request by the hostel provost, Prof Dr Nazneen Rizvi, at a certificate and prize distribution ceremony in the hostel.

The vice-chancellor gave away certificates and prizes to the position-holders and also distributed special prizes among the students for their outstanding performance in hostel management. He gave Rs100,000 to the students for expenses during Ramazan.

APTITUDE TEST: About 760 candidates, including a large number of girls, appeared in an aptitude test for admission to MBA classes at the University on Sunday.

About 895 candidates had submitted forms for the test.—APP
