LAHORE, Nov 8: All matches of the Super League One-Day Cricket tournament will be day matches, according to a revised decision of Pakistan Cricket Board announced Friday.
The tournament is scheduled to begin from Nov 11 with the final on Nov 28.
Earlier, PCB had decided to hold three day and night matches besides two all night ties.
It was learnt that PCB took the decision to curtail the expenses of the tournament after failing to get a sponsor for the competition. PCB has estimated a cost of Rs 3 million for this tournament which has been reduced to almost one million.
The first session of the match will be held from 8.30am to 12 noon. After a 20 minutes break for change of innings, the second session will continue from 12.20am to 1.30pm. A 30 minutes break will be observed for Zuhar prayers from 1.30pm to 2pm. The last session will be held from 2pm to 4.20pm.
Four teams comprising Test discards and top first class cricketers are competing in the tournament.
Test bowler Wasim Akram is leading team “A”, Moin Khan team “B” while Shoaib Malik and Azhar Mahmood have been named as captain of team”C “ and “D”, respectively. The revised schedule (date, teams, umpires, referee):
