ISLAMABAD, Nov 7: Former champion Jansher Khan has pulled out of this December’s World Open on fitness grounds.

Jansher who was to compete in the qualifying round of the Dec 4 to 10 championship in Belgium said that he was not fully fit therefore, he had decided to skip the event. He is said to have informed the Professional Squash Association (PSA) of his decision.

The 33-year-old Jansher had also missed last month’s Qatar Classic for similar reasons.

Jansher is attempting to make a comeback after retiring in 1999. His first tournament on return to the court was the CNS International Championship in Karachi in September followed by the CAS tournament held in his hometown of Peshawar last month. He was unable to make much of an impression in both events.
