Fahim meets Chattha, discusses document
ISLAMABAD, Nov 6: Nominee of People’s Party Parliamentarians for prime minister’s slot, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, said on Wednesday he is working on evolving a “consensus document” among various parties so that there should be a feasible solution to the present political crisis.
Talking to newsmen after the meeting with chief of Pakistan Muslim League (Junejo), Hamid Nasir Chattha, he said this was necessary to stabilize political system.
During the meeting both leaders discussed present political situation and possible early solution to end deadlock.
Makhdoom Amin said as no single party had majority to form the government in the National Assembly, all the political parties should form a government of national consensus.
Makhdoom Amin said maximum efforts were being made to have complete agreement on all parts of the “consensus document”.
About the release of Asif Zardari, he said, it was his right, therefore, if he had been released it would not be part of any deal.
Replying to a question about his candidature for prime minister, he said, it was the party’s decision and his was committed to party stand.
CHATTHA: PML-J leader Hamid Nasir Chattha indicated that there were two main candidates for prime ministership but there would be a third candidate in this run very soon.
He said the delay in the first session of the National Assembly was needed only to reach a consensus among various political parties outside the house to ensure stability in democratic process.—APP
