ISLAMABAD, Nov 6: The acting secretary-general of PPP, Mian Raza Rabbani, has condemned the continued hounding, harassment and intimidation of the legislators-elect of PPP by the sleuths of the military regime with a view to force them change their loyalties.

In a statement here on Wednesday, Mr Rabbani said a number of PPP legislators-elect had complained that they were subjected to midnight knocks by the police, civil administration and the agencies pressurizing them to ditch their party and change loyalty.

“The regime has done its worst by way of pre-polls day and post poll rigging but still has not been able to muster adequate support for its favourite king‘s Party to form the government.” Having been frustrated in its designs thus far, the regime is now making a last ditch effort to break the mainstream political parties to pave way for the king‘s party muster the required strength to form the government, he said.
