Quetta receives first winter rain
QUETTA, Nov 5: The Quetta valley and its surrounding areas received the first winter rain on Tuesday ending a long dry spell.
The rain started at around 2 pm and continued till late night. The main city was also struck by hailstorm. The communication system and power supply was badly affected and caused havoc throughout the slums as the rain water entered the houses damaging the belongings of the people and flooding the roads.
According to meteorological office forecast the rain would continue during the next 24 hours in Quetta and some other parts of the province.
