Murderer hanged in Much Jail

Published November 6, 2002

QUETTA, Nov 5: A convicted killer was hanged in the Central Jail Much on Tuesday morning after rejection of his mercy appeal by the president.

The district and sessions judge, Quetta, had awarded him death for killing seven persons in Huda area of Quetta in 1996.

Though the convict, Abdul Qadir, filed an appeal in the Balochistan High Court against the death sentence, the High Court upheld the judgement of the sessions court.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan also rejected his petition and passed orders to implement the verdict.

Some relatives of Abdul Qadir also tried for reconciliation with the heirs of the victims, but they refused to pardon him.

Representatives of the victims’ heirs were present in the jail when he was hanged. Later, his body was handed over to his relatives.
