ISLAMABAD, Nov 2: Managing Director of Ajami Associate, Fazal Qadir Ajami, on Friday served a notice on information secretary of PML-N, Siddiqul Farooque, to pay immediately US $50 million for issuing “false” and “frivolous” statements defaming his reputation and damaging his position.

In an interim legal notice, through Hafeez Pirzada Law Associates, Ajami called upon Siddique to retract his statements and atone by publishing in an equally prominent manner a full and unconditional apology and to refrain from issuing such statements in the future.

Addressing a press conference here, Ajami said a copy of the notice had also been sent to the National Accountability Bureau.

He said the infrastructure facilities which were essential for national development could not be provided in the country due to obstacles created by such elements who were opposed to foreign investment. —APP
