FC chief visits border

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 31: The inspector-general of Frontier Corps (FC), Maj-Gen Syed Sadaqat Ali Shah, visited the border town Chaman on Thursday.

He also met the commandant of Pishin Scouts, Col Mohammad Sarwar Awan, and other officers posted at the Pak-Afghan border. He was briefed on the latest situation at the border.

The FC chief during his stay in Chaman also inspected the under-construction ‘Friendship Gate’ at the Pak-Afghan border, which is being jointly built by the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan as a goodwill gesture.

Pakistan has established 14 more new check points along its border with Afghanistan to strictly check the entry of the suspected Afghans via unconventional routes.
