Blackwill’s remarks incorrect: Pakistan

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Oct 30: Pakistan has taken strong exception to the remarks made by the United States Ambassador in New Delhi Blackwill terming the struggle in the Indian-Occupied Kashmir as “externally driven terrorism.”

The Pakistan Embassy in Washington has been directed to take the matter up with the US authorities, a foreign office spokesman said.

The foreign office also took the issue up with the US Ambassador in Islamabad. “The latter is obtaining a transcript of what was actually said,” he added.

A foreign office spokesman in a statement issued on Wednesday said Mr Blackwill’s observation was incorrect.
