Anti-doping lecture today

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Oct 30: A lecture on anti-doping  subject  will be delivered to Zimbabwe-bound Pakistan cricket team at Gaddafi Stadium Thursday.

Dr Meesaq Rizvi will brief players about the drugs awareness in the lecture, scheduled to start at 11.00am.

The lecture is being organised by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after International Cricket Council had made it mandatory to dope test players in next year’s World Cup in South Africa.

ICC recently appreciated PCB’s previous anti-doping courses conducted for under-15, under-17, under-19 and ‘A’ teams in the past four months.

Pakistan team led by Waqar Younis departs for Harare via Johannesburg in the early hours of Friday.
