THATTA, Oct 30: The senior civil judge, Thatta, Iqbal Ahmed Khwaja, on Tuesday dismissed an injunction application moved by one Nasir Abdullah Hussain Lootah, director, office of the ruler of Dubai, UAE, against his four defendants, including Arif Zarghouri, a representative of Shaikh Rashid Bin Khalifa Al-Maktoom, a member of the royal family of Dubai in Pakistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, the Government of Sindh, and the secretary, Forest and Wildlife, over a dispute regarding hunting and falconry on an area of 5,222 acres in Thatta district.

The judge maintained that the plaintiff and defendant are both going to kill innocent wild animals and are misusing their status. The plaintiff has no good prima facie case and he will not suffer any irreparable loss; therefore, the injunction application is dismissed.

Ali Ahmed Junejo, advocate for the plaintiff, praying for a decree of injunction against the defendants, argued that his client had been granted land by the Government of Sindh.

The advocate of the defendants, Jhamatmal Jeth Anand, argued that the plaintiff under the shelter of allotment of hunting was going to kill animals and birds, which were extremely precious for the environment, and their lives were to be safeguarded under the Sindh Wildlife Protection Ordinance 1972.
