PESHAWAR, Oct 30: The students of the local colleges and universities were enthralled by pop singer Haroon in a concert which lasted till late on Tuesday night.

Arranged by the Peshawar campus of the Greenwich University at the post University Town to welcome the newly-admitted students, it also attracted a large number of students from other educational institutes.

Haroon kept the audience mesmerised for more than three hours with his latest popular numbers.

The concert was a breath of fresh air for the students who otherwise remain busy in their studies.

It was refreshing for the youth of Peshawer, who, because of the local clergy, were most of the time denied such recreation.

“ I really enjoyed it. The performance of Haroon  was  great. This was my first time to watch a live concert, because these do not take place here,” said Nausheen, a 4th year student of Amina Degree College, Hayatabad township. She said she felt refreshed after attending the concert.

The students enjoyed themselves by dancing, on and off the stage, to their favourite musical notes. Haroon also invited some of the enthusiasts to the stage to dance.

The audience, in spite of being a mixed gathering, enjoyed the event in a smooth manner and on hooliganism was witnessed.
