Man killed in tribal clash

SUKKUR, Oct 29: A man was killed in an armed clash between two groups of Soomro tribesmen in the Manik village, near Naushahro Feroze, on Monday night.

The tribesman who was killed was identified as Abdul Fateh.

Police arrested three tribesmen — Rab Nawaz, Shafi Mohammad, and Fida Hussain.

SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES: A man, Mohammad Hanif, who had been injured in an armed clash in the Buxoo Rind village a few days ago succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on Tuesday.

The police arrested two accused — Mohammad Wazir and Mohammad Yaseen — who were involved in critically injuring him.

FOUR INJURED: Ten armed men attacked the Salam Chachar village, Ghotki District, and opened fire as a result of which four people were injured on Tuesday.

The four who were injured were Meha Chachar, Abdul Hameed Chachar, Aijaz Chachar, and Ameer Ali Chachar. All were taken to the Taluka hospital, Ghotki.

Police sources said that the attack was the result of an old rivalry between two groups of Chachar tribesmen over a Karo-kari dispute.

MAN HELD: The Shikarpur police arrested a drug trafficker, Zamir Hussain, on Tuesday.
