PPP president calls on CEC


ISLAMABAD, Oct 26: The People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) president, along with his team, on Saturday called on the chief election commissioner (CEC) and discussed with him matters regarding the party’s reservations on election results of some constituencies.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting at the CEC residence, PPP chief Makhdoom Amin Fahim said the party had reservations and complaints about three constituencies, including PS-11, NA-94 and one other provincial assembly seat in Sindh

Ami Fahim also said he had presented party’s point of view in this respect with evidences, and CEC Irshad Hassan Khan had given them a patient hearing and assured him to consider the issue.

The chief election commissioner on the occasion said that he had listened to the PPP complaints in detail and would take a decision on them in accordance with law.

The team included Raja Pervez Asharf, Khalid Kharal, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Nayyar Bukhari and Nafees Siddiquee.—APP
