ANP leader resigns

By Our Correspondent

KOHAT, Oct 25: Aurangzeb Khan, provincial secretary-general of Awami National Party, has resigned from his post following the defeat of his party in the elections.

In his resignation, which he sent to Bashir Ahmed Bilour, he said that he would continue to work as a worker without retaining party position.

Aurangzeb was elected MPA in the 1997 election on the ANP’s ticket, which was the first success of the party in the area during the last 30 years.

He had decided not to contest elections after allegations of minting money during the flour shortage in the province in 1998.
