NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 25: The local sanitary workers observed a token hunger strike opposite the press club here on Friday.
They were protesting against non-payment of salaries and pensions since July 2002.
The garbage accumulated as their strike entered into its second day.
MURDER CONDEMNED: The journalists of Naushahro Feroze condemned the murder of the Kandhkot journalist, Shahid Soomro, at a meeting held here in the press club on Friday.
Mohammad Shabbir Khanzada, Abdul Aziz, Saindad, Qazi Zulfiqar, Amjad Memon and Ali Nawaz Solangi attended the meeting and demanded of the Sindh governor Sindh to arrest all the accused immediately.
