KARACHI, Oct 25: Governor Sindh Mohammedmian Soomro said on Friday that the inter-provincial harmony achieved under the resent government unprecedented in the entire history of the country.

He was talking, at the governor’s house, to a delegation of under-training senior officers at NIPA Lahore.

Responding to a question, he said that Sindh had been pursuing a principled stand regarding the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, as it clearly emphasized on population count, level of poverty, area-wise situation and status of good governance.

He briefed the delegation about the ongoing reformation campaign of the provincial government in different sectors of government. He said that Sindh, for its good governance and better implementation of reforms, was the only province which was provided direct funding by the World Bank.

He said the government had been following a multi-pronged strategy to improve the living standard of the common man and integrated efforts were being made to overcome unemployment.—PPI
