Indian delegates arrive

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Oct 24: Former Indian Test cricketer Roger Binny and Dr Vace A Paes, arrived from India Thursday, to join the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) special coaching course which is currently in progress at a local hotel since Oct 21.

Talking to reporters, Binny said that his arrival here was delayed due to some visa problems. He said that his government had permitted him to attend the course.

Binny stressed the need for restoration of cricketing relations between India and Pakistan. He said that both the neighbouring countries were incurring financial losses due to suspension of cricket relations between them since 1999.

He said that the root cause behind the suspension of cricketing relation was politics and it was unfair that the game was at the losing end.
