KARACHI: PMA slams doctor’s arrest

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Oct 23: The Pakistan Medical Association strongly condemns the arrest of Prof Amir Aziz, orthopaedic surgeon, on the charges of treating Afghan patients, says a press release.

It adds that it is the duty of a doctor to treat patients without consideration of race, religion and political belief.

“Prof Amir Aziz has all the rights to treat his patients and perform his duties for which he is trained. We are concerned about his arrest and hope that the governor will not violate his human rights. We demand his immediate release and the government should act according to rules and regulations.”
