18 aspirants file papers for one NA, 2 PA seats

QUETTA, Oct 22: Eighteen candidates of different political parties filed on Tuesday their nomination papers for NA-262 (Killa Abdullah) and two Balochistan Assembly seats, with returning officers at Chaman.

The Election Commission of Pakistan had cancelled results of all the three constituencies and announced re-election on Nov 22 for the seats.

Six candidates who filed their nominations for the NA seat include Bismillah Khan Kakar of the People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP), Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Dr Hamid Khan Achakzai of the PMAP, Maulvi Mohammad Hanif and Maulvi Abdul Aziz of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) and Dr Wali Jan.

For PB-12 (Killa Abdullah-II), seven candidates have submitted their papers with the returning officer— Abdul Qadus of the PPP, Malik Ghulam Sarwar Piralizai of the Awami National Party, Maulvi Abdullah and Maulvi Fateh Mohammad of the MMA, Mohammad Nasim Taryalai of the PMAP, Amir Jan and Mohammad Usman.

Five candidates who filed their nominations for PB-13 (Killa Abdullah-III) include independent aspirant Haji Wali Mohammad, Maulvi Ghulam Haider and Maulvi Noorullah of the MMA, Abdul Hameed Khan and Dr Hamid Achakzai of the PMAP.

The scrutiny of the papers is scheduled to be held on Oct 23 while polling on Nov 22.
