Student kidnapped

KHAIRPUR, Oct 19: Two armed persons kidnapped a student of the Jamia Rashidia, Iqbal Ahmadani, near the Government High School, Pir Jo Goth, on Saturday.

Mufti Abdul Raheem Sakindari of the Jamia confirmed a student of his Madressa had been kidnapped and the police had been informed about the incident.

ANTI-POLICE PROTEST: The residents of Bhelar village continued their protest against police excesses in Ranipur for the second consecutive day on Friday.

The protesters took out a procession. While talking to journalists, they said that six police constables in civil dress snatched Rs3,300 from some villagers on Bhelar road the other day.

The villagers complained that it was routine of the police in the area.
