Indian leaders criticized

ISLAMABAD, Oct 19: The former ambassador Mehdi Masood said on Saturday that contradicting statements by the Indian leadership reflect the confusion which persists due to their irrational dealing on the issue of Held-Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking in a PTV programme, he said, the Indian leadership while announcing a phased withdrawal of troops from international borders had claimed that there remains no further need for forces’ deployment as the objectives have been achieved.

He said the Indians have been saying to their people and the world that the deployment was to check the so-called cross-border terrorism. What was their objective?

The fact is, Masood said, the Indian tactics, including the recent election drama in Held-Kashmir, have failed.—APP
