Wasim and Tahir take bowling honours

By Our Sports Reporter

KARACHI, Oct 18: Speedster Wasim Khan picked up six for 92 to help Sui Gas outclass Pakistan Education Board (PEB) by innings and 44 runs in the Kardar Trophy match at National Stadium here Friday.

PEB, who were hopelessly placed at 145 for seven, were all out for exactly 200 in their second innings.

The other two fixtures in the city ended without any conclusive result. Navy and PAF drew their match at PCB Regional Academy Ground while the game between KESC and KPT at UBL Sports Complex petered out in a boring stalemate.

Our Sports Reporter adds from Rawalpindi: PTCL handed ARL an innings and 12-run defeat at the latter’s ground.

ARL crashed to 145 all out after they had been forced to follow on. They had resumed their second innings at the overnight score of 125 for seven, needing another 32 runs to make PTCL bat again.

Our Sports Correspondent adds from Lahore: Medium-pacer Tahir Mughal captured a match haul of 13 for 83 as Saga registered a crushing innings and 45-run victory against PTV at Saga Ground in Sialkot.
