LAHORE, Oct 18: District Nazim Mian Amer has ordered foolproof security arrangements for the five-day Raiwind “Tableeghi Ijtimaa” commencing from Oct 23.

Presiding over a city district government meeting held here on Friday to review the arrangements for the congregation, the Nazim said the executive district officers concerned should inspect the site and finalize arrangements by Oct 22 at the latest. A control room should also be established for coordinating the activities of different departments engaged in the arrangements for it.

He was informed that the special branch of the police would make detailed security checking of the area and arrange scanning of the luggage of the participants. The health department would set up six dispensaries and a six-bed hospital for providing first aid to the participants.
