Re-election in NA-195 demanded

By Our Correspondent

SUKKUR, Oct 18: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal workers staged a demonstration against the allegedly rigged results of NA-198 (Sukkur) here on Friday.

The demonstration was led by MMA leaders Maulana Asad Thanvi, Abdul Matin Bandhani, and Musharraf Mehmood Qadri.

They demanded the election commission to hold re-election on NA-198 Sukkur otherwise they would give a call for a wheel jam strike in Sukkur.

Maulana Asad Thanvi in his speech criticized Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah of the PPP for preparing scanned ballots, which were later cast as bogus votes.

MUTTAHIDA: Two National Assembly and five Provincial Assembly candidates of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement have demanded for holding re-polling at NA-198, 201 Sukkur and PS-1, 2, 6, 8 and PS-30 because of massive rigging on these seats on the election day by rival PPP candidates.
