KARACHI, Oct 18: The construction of a road in Gadap Town’s Union Council Dara Sano commenced here on Friday under the Khushal Pakistan Programme, against an estimated cost of Rs8.6 million.

During the first phase of the project, a 2.5Km long belt is to be constructed in the town within a two month duration, followed by the construction of another 6Km as an extension of the very road.

City government sources said the completion of the project would ease the transportation and travelling problems for inhabitants of some 10 different villages.

This would be particularly beneficial for the cultivators based in the area, as they would be able to transport their products directly to the vegetable market without any difficulty.—APP
