Taha, Rehan shine

KARACHI, Oct 16: Pacers Taha Lodhi grabbed four for 13 and Rehan Nazim three for 37 as DHA O & A Level registered their second successive victory in the Rev Father Robert D’Silva Golden Jubilee Invitation Inter-school cricket tournament.

DHA defeated Oasys by 38 runs at Pakistan Association of the Deaf ground Wednesday.

Sent into bat, DHA, who coasting along merrily at 121 for four, lost their last six wickets for only 38 runs in the slog overs, accumulated 159 for eight.

Talha Rehman top-scored for his side with 42.

Oasys, in reply, were never in the hunt as they lost their first six wickets with only 41 on the board. However Hasan Kazim (32) and Waqas Ali (21) carried the score to 121 to give Oasys a slim chance for victory but they lost their last three wickets with the total stationed at 121.

In another match played in the afternoon session, at the same ground, St Paul’s High School were lucky to beat Lecole by 18 runs with Salman Bukhari picking up four for nine.
