SWABI, Oct 15: Four people were killed in a clash between two groups after a children’s scuffle turned into serious dispute.

The children of the two families had clashed on Monday but later the elders entered the dispute.

On Monday morning the jirga members and some distinguished personalities had made all out efforts to strike a peaceful settlement and resolve the dispute between the two families but they adopted a stubborn stand and refused to move for either a compromise or settle the minor dispute.

On Tuesday morning they again clashed and resorted to heavy firing, which resulted in the killing of two brothers and an uncle and his nephew on the spot. The two brothers, Ajmal and Umer Rehman, were killed from Naveed group.

The father of the deceased has lodged an FIR against Mustaqeem and Ziaur Rehman while Sher Ali and his uncle Ziaur Rehman were killed from the Asad group. This group has lodged an FIR against Umer Dad, Naveed Ajmal and Umer Rehman.

The Swabi police have arrested Mustaqeem and Umer Dad and started investigations.
