Runner-up alleges rigging

MARDAN, Oct 14: An independent candidate, who lost the elections from PF-32, Swabi-II, has alleged rigging by his opponent and claimed that he used unfair means.

Speaking at a press conference at the Mardan Press Club here on Monday, Jehanzeb Bahadar alleged that the supporters of ANP candidate Amir Rehman had used fake identity cards, money and even polled the votes of the dead to win the elections.

The ANP MPA-elect, Amir Rehman, bagged 9,000 votes and was declared successful on PF-32.

The runner-up got 6,024 votes.
