HYDERABAD, Oct 14: A former president of Sindh People’s Students’ Federation, Hussain Bukhari, died in an accident near Bulri Shah Karim on Sunday night.
Bukhari was coming to Hyderabad with some friends when their car went out of the driver’s control and hit a truck, resulting in the death of Bukhari and injuries to others.
He was laid to rest in the Mehboob Ali Shah graveyard.
Hyderabad district Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, MNAs-elect, Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi and Syed Ameer Ali Shah Jamote, MPAs elect, Dr Irfan Gul Magsi and Zahid Bhurgari, and others attended the funeral.
He has left behind a widow, four sons and three daughters.
Bukhari, 60, had remained special assistant to Sindh chief minister Jam Sadiq Ali and Syed Abdullah Shah.
He was still associated with the Pakistan People’s Party.
LABOURERS KILLED: Two labourers — Umeed Ali, 40, and an unidentified man, died near New Saeedabad on the National Highway when a car (ABD-927) hit them.
The driver fled from the scene.
MURDER: A man was stabbed to death in Gulistan-e-Sajjad in the jurisdiction of Bhitai Nagar police station here on Monday.
The deceased, Ahmed, son of Mohammad Ishaq Chandio, used to work at the residence of a doctor.
He was present outside the doctor’s bungalow when three unidentified persons struck there and stabbed him to death.
The police said that the killing was the result of an old enmity.
The deceased was resident of Kario Ganhwar, Badin district. His brother has arrived at the police station to lodge the case.
