EU wants end to ‘incursions’

COPENHAGEN, Oct 11: The European Union will put pressure on Pakistan to end alleged incursions into occupied Kashmir in a bid to promote dialogue with India, the Danish EU presidency said on Friday.

“The European Union as well as Denmark will continue to put a maximum of pressure on Pakistan to do its utmost to end cross-border terrorism,” said Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who now holds the EU presidency.

“We have put pressure on Pakistan and we will continue to do so,” the Danish leader said after talks with his Indian counterpart, Atal Behari Vajpayee, on an official visit to Denmark after an EU-India summit on Thursday.—AFP
